MakeItOut is provided as-is, free, by a one-person team. By using the app you agree to a few simple things.

Be reasonable

Don't use MakeItOut to harass other users, scrape data, send spam, or do anything illegal. Don't try to break the system on purpose. We can suspend or delete accounts that violate this.

Your content

Trip names, ideas, votes, expenses, and other content you create belong to you. By posting it to a trip, you grant us a limited license to display it to the other members of that trip. We don't claim ownership and we won't repurpose your content elsewhere.

Money & deposits

Expenses in MakeItOut are a ledger — we track who paid what, but we don't move money for expense splits. Trip deposits are processed through Stripe Connect: Stripe holds the funds, disburses them to the trip organizer, and handles refunds. MakeItOut never directly holds your money. Stripe's own terms and privacy policy apply to all payment transactions.

Availability

We aim to keep MakeItOut online but don't guarantee uptime, and we're not responsible for trips that go sideways because the app was down.

Changes

If we ever materially change these terms, we'll notify you via email before the change takes effect.
